MEET THE TEAM

I have had the distinct honor to have been supported by many fine young people, working as unpaid interns, during the production process, illustrations, marketing and promotion of AWARD WINNING "Jelly Beans the Cheetah and Hope!" They all made significant contributions and were examples of "springing into compassionate action!" They passionately, supported the messages of "Jelly Beans the Cheetah and Hope" surrounding empathy, shared humanity-that we are one human FAMILY and are connected to all, including the endangered cheetah! Any successes are as a result of this collaboration!

High school age students from Perpich and Brooklyn Center illustrated the first book! I am delighted that interns continue to support the Jelly Beans the Cheetah book series through marketing, graphic design, music arrangement, performance, production, recording, video production, editing, illustrations and translations. FIVE STAR "EMPATHY AIRLINES-Jelly Beans the Cheetah and Hope" Book Two, was illustrated by Sarah Williams MCAD (Minneapolis College of Art and Design), where she earned six credits for the work and Jacob Peterson, the Brooklyn Center student who helped illustrate the first book! Another book (#3) about EMPATHY called "Tristy Sparkles" was illustrated by the talented Kendra Hohenstein also from MCAD. Meghan Rafferty has joined in the creation of "Tristy Sparkles" in doing design and text work. Meghan is an intern from MCAD. She was brought on to illustrate book (#4) "Dunnigan Bower, Knows How to Empower! (a book about beloved Black teacher)

Our team now includes college students and graduates from MCAD (Minneapolis College of Arts and Design) the University of Minnesota, St. Cloud State University, and Teachers from St. Cloud and Minneapolis. Tina Inez (Graphic Design Intern) worked with me remotely and received credit from The Art Institute of Washington (Washington D.C./Baltimore areas).

Our current "EMPATHY RIPPLE" team includes: Amabelle Johnson, Faith Ramierez, De'Arris Wayne Judkins, Lauryn Wurscher, Anthony Hotakainen, Paulette Mosely, Sarah Guhl, Meghan Rafferty, Brian Omino and Kendra Hohenstein.
